For larger vehicles and recreational vehicles such as caravans, a gable (pitched) carport provides the additional height needed to safely park and offers flexibility if you ever purchase a larger vehicle in the future.

If your carport is blocking sunlight from reaching your house windows, a great option is to add translucent roof sheets to filter in additional ambient light below the carport. This looks great and is highly practical.

Another great way to achieve additional height for larger vehicles is by attaching your carport to the house using a method known as a ‘flyover attachment’.  A flyover attachment is where the carport attaches to the house above the roof tiles / roof sheets  using a ‘flyover bracket’ that fixes to your house frame. This allows your carport to start much higher than if it were attached to other parts of the house.

Tight spaces and tricky corners are not an issue and are easily negotiated in most instances. Combining different shapes and different roof pitches allows you to adapt your carport to to most spaces and provide additional coverage, where needed.

Larger spans for multiple cars and boats are easily negotiated with minimal additional framework that could have compromised valuable space. Stratco Outback metal roof sheets can span over 4m without any additional support.
